It is very important that when we bring our sick to Greenwich Hospital, we put their names on the list for daily Communion. There is a Chaplin available at all times; just ask the nurse to inform them. The Spiritual Care Department and a priest will be provided for you. The hospital is asking that we use the priest there, not from the parish. The Director for the Spiritual Care Department is Fr. Edy Lopez; Chaplain, Fr. Christopher; Spiritual assistant Nancy (203) 863-3146. They also have daily Mass, and daily Eucharistic Minister who bring communion to all the sick on the list.
Coming to meeting Jesus in the Eucharist and in the community of the faithful requires us to prepare ourselves both in an internal and in an external way. We prepare ourselves spiritually before we go to Communion: go to confession frequently, pray every day, review the Scripture readings and come to Mass early to ready yourself for this encounter with the Lord. Our preparation for an encounter with Jesus in Holy Communion and in the People of God is also reflected in our clothes: they should be modest. In most circumstances, these guidelines will help us dress appropriately for Mass.
We are asking those who are not registered in our Parish, to please stop by the rectory office and register. We would like to know who you are, and be able to help when there is some family need or someone asks for a sponsorship letter or a letter of good conduct
